David Goffin was playing a fantastic semifinal against an in-form Grigor Dimitrov. Even if the Belgian lost the opening set, he definitely had his chances to get back in the second set before something weird happened.
David was at the net while he attempted a volley. Unfortunately, the ball bounced on his racket to hit straight his eye.
Eventually, Goffin had to retire leaving everyone in disbelief.
The incredible thing is that David ended this tournament after reaching the semifinal playing only 42 games!
