The Mercedes Cup advances with the top two seeds still in. After, Tipsarevic, yesterday Monaco also reached the quarter finals with an easy win over Kamke in 83 minutes.
Unfortunately the tournament lost 2 of the most interesting players of 2 different generations. Veteran Tommy Haas that is in great form (he defeated King Roger in the final in Halle last month) lost to Cervenak 6-4 6-4. Teenager Bernard Tomic fell to Bellucci 7-6 (6) 6-3 in a match that he started to dominate in the first set (the Australian was leading 4-1) to then implode.
