Novak Djokovic, as an icon in the world of tennis, has a huge platform to influence his fans and other people. This is why outside the tennis courts, the Serbian star is active in charity and advocacy work. One of the ways he is helping out people is through the Novak Djokovic Foundation, which he established in 2007.

The foundation’s mission is to make sure that children from disadvantaged situations and marginalized communities grow up in better environments and improved access to education. The foundation has already worked with the World Bank, UNICEF and other international organizations to implement projects in his home country of Serbia.

Facebook to film documentary on Djokovic’s foundation

It has been announced that Facebook has partnered with the tennis star and the Novak Djokovic Foundation in creating a documentary to highlight their philanthropic work. The aim of the documentary is to present the projects that the foundation is doing to ensure that young children live in better conditions.

Facebook brought in a professional team from the United Kingdom to shoot and edit the documentary. Led by Tom Perry and Sam Clayson, the team already shot some of the activities of the Novak Djokovic Foundation. The documentary video will be uploaded to the Facebook platform by the end of October.

Perry confessed that he became a bigger fan of world No. 1 because of filming. During the shoots, the Serbian star was said to be professional and patient. He also confirmed that the tennis player was very warm and nice to the kids during a friendship camp that was organized. He admitted that while he knows who Djokovic is, he did not really know about the star’s philanthropic work until the project.

Perry and his team are regular contributors to Facebook. Djokovic is the most prominent subject of their videos so far. They previously made videos about Paralympic athlete Eli Simons and boxer Anthony Joshua.
