Ryan Harrison and Donald Young didn’t have a friendly match in New York. The 2 Americans were battling in the 1st round of the new ATP250 when Harrison muttered something (probably racist) at Donald that was prompt to tweet his disappointment.
Donald posted “I’m shocked and disappointed, Ryan Harrison, to hear you tell me how you really feel about me as a black tennis player in the middle of our NY match. I thought this was supposed to be an inclusive gentleman’s sport.”
Eventually, the match ended with Harrisons winning 6-3 7-6 (4), but the impression is that it’s not over. In fact, Harrison as some history of racist slurs and some other outbursts.

The accusations made by Donald Young tonight following our match are absolutely untrue. I’m extremely disappointed that someone would say this in reaction to a lost tennis match. Any video/audio will 100% clear me and I encourage anyone with the available resources to find it.

I have watched a lot of Donald Young matches. He gives the same handshake every single match. This was the first time I’ve ever seen him not give a legitimate handshake. Really upset with Harrison. Just slapped his hand.

This is the best info I have found on the altercation between Ryan Harrison & Donald Young. If true, Harrison is an absolute piece of shit and @ATPWorldTour should fine and suspend him. https://t.co/IDxT7tBTkz
