SPORTSMANSHIP. Nadal sent immediately his congratulations to Federer after Australian Open title

Roger Federer has astonished the tennis world once more after winning his 20th title in Melbourne. In theory, the guy that “lost the most” from Roger’s new title is his rival and friend Rafael Nadal that is now 4 slams shy from Roger and he is about to lose his world no.1 rank.

Super sportsmanship

During a recent interview, Rafa confirmed that soon after Roger won the title, he texted the Swiss. Nadal commented

“I immediately sent him a text message.

I usually congratulate people I know in private rather than publicly. I’ve had a very good relationship with Federer for years now.

I was happy for him; I congratulated him, and I told him I’m always happy when he does well.

I’m always looking at what’s in front of me, not what’s around me. There’s always someone who has achieved more than you or who has earned more than you. You can’t let that frustrate you; instead, it’s better to be satisfied with what you do, so long as you’re giving it your all.”

Fantastic Rafa.
