With 28 slams title combined, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic are definitely among the greatest players of all time.
The Spaniard and the Serb have played each other 50 times on tour with the head to head is 26-24 for Djokovic. Probably the most memorable match they had was the 2012 Australian Open final when Djokovic won 5-7 6-4 6-2 6-7 (5) 7-5 after they played 5 hours and 53 minutes. This match qualified as the longest final in the slam history in the open era).
After this epic battle, both Rafa and Nole had huge problems in standing during the presentation, and eventually the organization was so kind to give them a couple of chairs to sit down.
The joke
Nole is currently spending some quality time with his family as he is trying to get some rest. The former world no.1 posted the video of the 2012 AO ceremony saying to Rafa: “No wonder we need rehab now.”
Nadal replied: “Nole, no wonder. Thanks for the thoughts. That was tough. Hope your rehab is going well!!! And hope to see you back on courts! Enjoy your time with the family!”
