Zverev, Kyrgios, and Chung the future of tennis. BECKER

Boris Becker is currently in Brisbane where he is leading team Germany against Australia in a fascinating Davis Cup 1st round. The obvious top stars are Sasha Zverev (ranked world no.5) and Nick Kyrgios (no.4) that are both friends and fierce competitors and according to Boris… they are much more.

These players are the future

During a recent interview in Australia, Boris commented

“I know what these guys are going through. It’s not always easy; it’s easier from the outside. Nick and Sasha are two of the best ones we’ve had. We have to give them some more room to breathe and develop.

We loved watching Roger win, but it won’t last forever. The future is what we see here. They are different characters, and I’d include Chung in that list. We just need to give them more time.

Sasha has to get used to the fact he’s one of the best players in the world now, and expectations are always sky high. Unless you reach a final, people call it a bad tournament, which is not true.’’

Kyrgios and Zverev have played each other 4 times (and all 4 in 2017). The head to head is 3-1 for Nick
