The 18 years old from Russian is having an incredible run in St. Petersburg to also beat in straight sets  Timea Bacsinszky in the first round after playing the qualifications.

Now Elena goes one step further to beat Caroline Garcia 4-6 7-6 (6) 7-6 (5) after saving 1 set point en route.

Elena will face either Julia Goerges or Roberta Vinci for a place in the semifinals.
