Simona Halep had an incredibly tough Australian Open. The Romanian won 2 incredible matches during the tournaments against Lauren Davis (4-6 6-4 15-13) and Angelique Kerber (6-3 4-6 9-7) before losing the final after another tough thriller against Caroline Wozniacki (7-6 (2) 3-6 6-4).
After various press events soon after the final, Simona had to go to the hospital for dehydration. Apparently, Simona was discharged Sunday morning after 4 hours.
Halep has already withdrawn from the WTA event in St. Petersburg and now there are some doubts about her participation in Doha in 15 days’ time.
She definitely needs to rest.
