Tommy is the new “kid on the block”.
After winning a surprising tournament in Halle by defeating Federer in the final (see article), Haas looks as inspired as ever. This time his victim was Andreev. To tell the truth it wasn’t an easy match for the German that found himself 1 set down to then come back and win the other 2 sets in style.
Haas will play Cervenak (World no.206) on the next round to then possibly clash with Monaco in the quarter finals.
In some second-round action we will have a very tasty Tomic – Bellucci. The Brazilian has some edge on the Australian that still has to demonstrate his potential on clay.
