Coco Vandeweghe will not be remembered for her manners in Melbourne.
The world no.9 lost a horrible match in the Australian Open 1st round to Timea Babos, but that contest will be remembered for something else.
What happened?
The American wasn’t handling very well her nerves in her match against Timea. At first, she refuses to go and play as the organization was too slow in bringing the bananas on court (???). Soon after she embarrassed herself after shouting to her opponent “Oh fuck off, you fucking bitch” (sorry for the language).
The organization decided to fine the American $10,000 for the episode. Even if this is the highest levied at the tournament so far, it doesn’t seem enough.
