Kyrgios wins a bizarre match in Brisbane

Nick Kyrgios has one of his days at the Brisbane International.

The Australian was facing the world no.38 Alexandr Dolgopolov in the quarters, and he gave the strong impression that he didn’t want to be there. After losing the first set 6-1, Kyrgios bounced back in the second set to grab a strong 3-0 lead before bringing the affair to the decider.

In the 3rd set, the Australian and the Ukrainian went toe to toe till the 7th game when Nick won the decisive break (4-3). Eventually, the world no.21 won the match 1-6 6-3 6-4, but once again… that was weird.

Once again, the big difference with the “old Kyrgios” is that once he would have lost the match while nowadays he is bent to

Kyrgios will face either Grigor Dimitrov or Kyle Edmund in the semifinal.
