Brisbane a very important part of the year. DIMITROV

Grigor Dimitrov has ended 2017 in the best possible way after he won the ATP Finals in London.

The Bulgarian sensation is ready to keep on winning in 2018, and he is looking forward to defending his title in Brisbane in the first week of the season. Grigor conquered the title in the Gold Coast last year after he defeated Nishikori in the final 6-2 2-6 6-3. Here the full results of last year’s Brisbane International.

About having a good start

During a recent interview in Brisbane, Grigor explained why it was important winning London and why he wants to have another good run at his first event of the season. Dimitrov commented

“That was definitely one of my biggest highlights.

It was such a long year, so to be able to come to an end of the season the way I did was something that I really appreciated and cherished a lot as well. Also, I think that showed a lot to my team and of course to myself what we’re capable of doing and just pushing the limits even more now.

It’s pretty amazing. I’ve been playing this tournament for quite some time and it’s been a dream of mine to win it and being able to do that last year was something that definitely propelled my year into a great success.

You always count on that start. The start of the year is so important. You should never get too negative or too positive but, I’m pretty pleased to be back here and excited to get that first match going on.”

Seeded no.1 in Brisbane, Dimitrov will face either John Millman or a qualifier in the opener. The Bulgarian has won 8 ATP titles in his career. Going for his 9th.
