Nadal to miss Brisbane, there are doubts about the Australian Open

Rafael Nadal will not start the new season in the best possible way.

The world no.1 was struggling with his knee at the end last season to skip the tournament in Basel and withdraw during the Master ATP1000 in Bercy and the ATP Finals in London.

Unfortunately, Rafa had to withdraw from the Mubadala World Tennis Championship in Abu Dhabi, and he has now announced that he will not compete in Brisbane because of his preparation.

On Twitter, Rafa confirmed that he will arrive in Melbourne the 4th of January to start his preparation for the first slam of the season, but there are some doubts about his participation to the Australian Open. In fact, Rafa has already given his confirmation for Brisbane after some rumors and there is no guarantee that he will be fully fit for Melbourne.

Rafa has won 75 career titles (6 last season). He has to wait a bit more for his 76th.
