Rafael Nadal is not a big fan of introducing new rules in tennis, but still he doesn’t dislike playing exhibitions with new formats.
The Spanish legend will join Nick Kyrgios, Grigor Dimitrov, and Sascha Zverev in Sydney to play FAST4 Tennis.

“Rafael Nadal is a superstar, not just in tennis but in international sport and it will be fantastic to welcome him back to Sydney to play FAST4 Tennis, a format that was pioneered here in the Harbour City.
He completes a stellar line-up for the event, and I have no doubt fans will travel from far and wide to see these players in action and experience everything our city has to offer in summer.”
Tennis NSW CEO and Sydney International Tournament Director Lawrence Robertson added
The FAST4 Showdown already boasts three of the world’s most exciting tennis players in Dimitrov, Zverev, and Kyrgios, and to add the best player in the world, Nadal, to the mix is going to take the event to an even higher level.”
The exhibition will be played at Ken Rosewall Arena on January 8.
