Roger Federer is collecting awards everywhere after a fantastic 2017. The Swiss Legend was voted as the winner of Comeback, Sportsmanship and Fans’ Favourite Awards (ATP), and he has just collected another recognition at the Sports Awards in Zurich as the Sportsman of the year. This is the 7th times that Roger has this honor after 2003, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2012, and 2014. He was also voted in 2008 with his friend Stan Wawrinka after they won the gold medal in Beijing.
The funniest thing
During the ceremony (Roger was talking from Dubai), the Swiss legend revealed an extremely funny episode he had at home before the ceremony. Federer said
“After dinner, my kids asked me where I was going. I told them there is this Award Gala where I could win a prize!
The kids replied:’ But isn’t Rafa number 1 ?!”
