Timea Bacsinszky didn’t have a fantastic 2017 after struggling with injuries to her wrist and thigh. The former world no.9 was able to play just 24 matches and the best result of the season was “only” reaching the semifinals at the Roland Garros where she lost to Jelena Ostapenko. Then Timea played her last match in Wimbledon where she lost to Agnieszka Radwanska in 3 sets. After that, Bacsinszky wasn’t able to compete anymore in 2017.
Still, Timea’s season ended in the best possible way off court after she announced her engagement with her boyfriend, Andreas Blattner. They have been dating for 5 years, and they are going for more.
