IT’S OFFICIAL. Stepanek to coach Djokovic

Novak Djokovic and Radek Stepanek are long-time friends, and their relationship is poised to get closer and closer. 

The Czech has just announced his retirement after he was struggling too much with his back and he will now join Novak’s coaching team. The former world no.1 had an agreement with Agassi, and it is not clear if Stepanek is a replacement of the American.


 

Stepanek is a former world no.8 that has won 5 titles in singles and 18 in doubles. He has also won 2 Davis Cups. Now ranked world no.12 Djokovic decided not to play the second part of the season because of an elbow injury.
