Roger Federer is definitely one of the most talented tennis players in tennis history. The Swiss has been hypnotizing his fans for almost 20 years with his incredible shot making. Interesting enough, a tennis coach (the worst tennis coach in history?) had an awful opinion about Roger’s skills when he was a boy.
You have no talent boy. FEDERER
During a recent interview, Roger disclosed what a coach told him during his first tournament
“There was a coach at my first tournament who told me: ‘At most, you can have coffee in a bar with those hands. You have no talent boy.’
That guy made me grow in anger and changed my personality a bit. I got up at night to practice. I would put on the lights in the garden and hit against the wall hundreds of times.
I hit forehands, backhands…every kind of shot until I could convince myself that each was perfect. I wanted to get there, but in front of me I saw too many obstacles and people who did not believe in me.”
That was a reaction of a champion, even a young one.
