Kyoka Okamura upsets Kristina Kucova 6-2 6-1 in the qualifications in Osaka on Saturday after playing a fantastic match to clash against Zarina Diyas in the qualifications.

Okamura commenced this set in the best possible way after breaking Kucova in the 2^nd game (2-0). Notwithstanding, there was more work to do for Kyoka to win the set as Kucova managed to break back in the 3^rd (1-2) game. Kyoka maintained her focus to break the Slovakian in the 6^th (4-2) and in the 8^th (6-2) game.
