Federer has an outstanding draw in Paris

Roger Federer receives a really good draw in Bercy that might give him the right boost to still attempt to end the year as world no.1

Federer’s draw

The Swiss sensation is projected to face a not-in-form Feliciano Lopez in the opener, then Jack Sock (also not in a great period), Thiem (he has lost 5 of the last 6 matches), and Cilic in the semifinal.

Federer has won this tournament “only once” in 2011.

Nadal’s draw

To make things sweeter for Roger, Rafa was a bit unlucky as Alexander Zverev, Juan Martin Del Potro, and Grigor Dimitrov, are all in his half (but in the other quarter).

Rafa is projected to face Mischa Zverev, Albert-Ramos Vinolas, Pablo Carreno Busta, and Alex Zverev, Grigor Dimitrov, or Juan Martin Del Potro in the semifinal.

Projected quarters

Nadal – Carreno Busta
A Zverev – Dimitrov
Goffin – Cilic
Federer – Thiem

The defending champion is Andy Murray that last year defeated Isner in the final 6-3 6-7 (4) 6-4. Andy will not play this year as he is recovering from his hip injury.

Here the full draw.
