SINGAPORE. Finally, we have arrived at the final act of this thrilling WTA season that has witnessed 5 different world no.1.
There are 2 groups of 4 players, and the first 2 players of each group will qualify for the semi-finals.

It’s pretty amazing to notice that in the Red group there is the actual world no.1 (Simona Halep) and a former world no.1 (Caroline Wozniacki) while in the White group, there are 3 former world no.1 (Garbine Muguruza, Karolina Pliskova, and Venus Williams), and the Roland Garros champion (Jelena Ostapenko).
It’s pretty weird to notice that 2 slam holders are not part of the finals (Serena Williams and Sloane Stephens).
The finals will start on Sunday the 22nd, and the defending champion is Dominika Cibulkova.
