Jo Konta had high hopes for this season: she won Sydney and Miami, and she reached the final in Nottingham. Unfortunately, things got sideways for the Brit that after reaching the semi-final in Wimbledon, she had a horrible 2-6 record.
Eventually, Jo had to withdraw from the tour for the rest of the season as she is struggling with a lingering foot injury and she decided to split with her coach Wim Fissette to comment
“After careful thought and discussion, Wim Fissette and I have mutually decided to end our working relationship. Things ended very amicably and I wish Wim all the best. We’ve achieved a lot together and I want to thank him for all his patience, hard work, and expertise.”
