Nick Kyrgios and Sascha Zverev are about to clash for the 4^th time in 2017 making their rivalry to become more and more a classic. The Australian defeated Sascha twice back to back in Indian Wells (6-3 6-4) and Miami (6-4 6-7 6-3), but the German managed to reverse the trend in Montreal (6-4 6-3). They will play the 4^th chapter of their rivalry on Saturday. This is how they got to semis.

Kyrgios

With the exception of the first set against Mischa Zverev, Nick had a straightforward ride this week after he defeated Basilshvili 6-1 6-2, Mischa 3-6 6-2 6-2, and he took full advantage of an injured Darcis that retired on a 0-6 0-3 scoreline in the quarters. This means that Nick will be completely fresh ahead of his clash in the semi-final.

Zverev

Sascha had a steady ride in Beijing where he didn’t drop a single set during the entire week following his wins against Edmund (6-3 7-6), Fognini (6-4 6-2), and Rublev (6-2 6-3).

Head to head

Nick and Sascha haven’t played against each other in any match at pro level before this season. Therefore, Kyrgios still leads Zverev 2-1.
