Federer, Djokovic in the same half. Murray doomed – 2012 Wimbledon Draw

Good news for Federer and his fans. Roger’s destiny is in his own hands. Being in the same half as Novak means that if Roger wins Wimbledon he will be world no.1 (since Novak would not reach the final).

Let’s analyse the draw.

DJOKOVIC

He was a bit unlucky. First, he will play former world no.1 Juan Carlos Ferrero in the first round. Nole is definately stronger, but there are better guys around to play in the first round. Then he should play the American Harrison in the 2nd. Nole is still stronger, but these youngsters may be tricky sometimes on fast courts. The 3rd and 4th rounds should not be a huge problem, but Novak has been unlucky to be on a collision path with Berdich in the quarters (maybe the worst guy to play in the quarters)… then maybe Roger and then maybe Rafa again…

NADAL

Lucky draw for Rafa that will play Bellucci in the first round (ok.. that might be… unpredictable…)… then the Spaniard should not have major threats. He is lucky to possibly meet Kohlschreiber in the 3rd round that beat him in Halle (Rafa will go for the sweet revenge). Then he should play Tsonga in the quartes. Jo reached the semis last year, but Rafa is too consistent in a best of 5 matches. In the semis Nadal is meant to play Murray, but that may not to happen.

FEDERER

Roger had a wonderful draw. He will play Ramos in the 1st match and then he should not struggle at all till the quarters where he is meant to play Isner. The American beat him in a best of 5 match this year Davis Cup , but things change a lot since Big Johny is not playing as well and Roger is playing much better and they play in Wimbledon… Then Roger should play Djokovic in the semis in a match that is super important for his chances to become world no.1.

MURRAY

Horrible stuff for the Scott. A real nightmare. He will play Davydenko in the 1st round (and you do not want to play him so early). Then Karlovic (a nightmare on this fast courts). Then possibly baby Federer (Dimitrov) or big Serve Anderson. Then probably Raonic (that is super confident he can even win this tournament) and then del Potro. If you consider that Andy is not also playing very well… we can’t see much chances for him.

BEST ROUND MATCHES

Do not miss  Tomic-Goffin, Haas-Kohlscreiber, Nadal-Bellucci, Anderson-Dimitrov, Berdych-Gulbis and Tipsarevic-Nalbandian..mmm Nadal – Bellucci might be interesting as well.

Game On!
