Maria Sharapova staged a (not so convincing) comeback this year after serving a ban for doping. Even if The Russian hasn’t managed to get back in the top100, she is still invited everywhere to promote this or that product. Maria has recently launched her new book “Unstoppable: My Life So Far” and she is heavily promoting the item across the media. This means that the Russian beauty has also to answer many questions about her ban.
The awkward interview
During a recent interview, Sharapova talked about being open and honest, but eventually, she decided not to answer a question about on how she replaced the Meldonium (the drug that caused Maria’s ban).
Maria didn’t get nice comments on the social media after this…
Q Did you find replacement for meldonium? OMG I can’t … Sharapova tried to skip direct answer but journalist asked again pic.twitter.com/m4fdbkC3uy

I’ll help her answer the question. Yes, I’ve found a substitute that is more potent but I’m not sharing. She didn’t deny it’s benefits this

I see lies all over it…..yeah right lol

But she took it before important matches. At Wimbledon 2015 she took it before matches – isnt that within 7 days?

@MariaSharapova shame you can’t answer a very simple question honestly and directly. If meldonium is so critical to your health, why no TUE?
