Nick Kyrgios has an amazing day in Cincinnati where he defeated Karlovic in 3 sets, and a few hours later he beat Nadal in straight sets.
The match against Nadal
Nick started in unbelievable fashion against the Spaniard to win the first 4 games with ease (4-0) before winning the set 6-2. In the second set, Nadal saved 2 consecutive match points after 61 minutes when he was 2-6 3-5 15-40 down. After Rafa held that service game, he had an important break point in the following game that Kyrgios saved with a furious forehand. Soon after it was time for Nick to commit a double fault on his third match point just before Nadal broke the Australian to make it even (5-5). The drama unfolded again in the following game when Rafa lost his serve again at love to give another opportunity to Nick. This time Kyrgios didn’t miss the chance, and he won this contest 6-2 7-5.

Playing like a kid was the key. KYRGIOS
Nick conceded that having fun was key to win this match to comment
“Being a little kid playing on center court of Cincinnati against Nadal, that’s the way the best has to come out.”
The semifinal against Ferrer
Nick will face a resurgent David Ferrer in the semi-final. The head to head is 1-0 for David, but if Nick is fit and willing, he should make it.
Game on!
