Nadal demolishes Coric

You do it; I do it!

This seems to be the message that Rafael Nadal sent to Federer after Roger conceded just 3 games in the Montreal opener. Rafa imitates his rival also to concede also 3 games to his opponent Borna Coric.

Rafa had to be careful to the Croatian that has already defeated the Spaniard twice, but this time things went rather easy with Nadal conquering a decisive 5-0 lead in the opener before winning 6-1. Rafa broke Coric also in the very first game of the second set to repeat himself in the 5th game. The world no.2 won the match 6-1 6-2 in just 71 minutes (and that is really fast for Rafa).

I played a great match. NADAL

After the match, Rafa refused to admit that it was an easy contest to comment

“Never too easy. At the beginning of the match, there were great points. I think I started playing so well in the first set and in general, I played a great match. Last time that I played against him I lost, last year in Cincinnati. It was not an easy round for me.”

Next vs. Shapovalov

Rafa will play Canadian rising star Denis Shapovalov in the 3rd round. Deni has won an amazing opener against Dutra Silva after saving four match points, and he defeated Juan Martin Del Potro in straight sets in the second round. Rafa and Denis have never played each other so far. This is going to be fun.
