Halep. Pliskova, Muguruza lead the Race to Singapore rankings

Simona Halep was quite disappointed after she missed the chance to become the world no.1 after Wimbledon. The Romanian was just 2 points from defeating Jo Konta in the quarters so as to miss the semi-final (and the top rankings). Still, after the Championships, Simona grabbed the first place in the Year to Date rankings, and this means that she still has big chances to become the world no.1 in the “traditional rankings.”

Pliskova

Karolina managed to become the new world no.1 in the “traditional rankings,” and she is now ranked no.2 in the Race to Singapore. That means that to maintain her leadership, Karolina still needs to fight hard for the rest of the season.

Muguruza

Garbine wins her 2nd slam title in Wimbledon to gain 2000 points and be the world no.3 in the YTD rankings. This means that she has a real opportunity to become the new world no.1 during the year if she keeps on performing well.

Here the top30.
