Novak Djokovic is the seed no.1 at the current US Open where he is also widely considered as the top favorite.
However, the defending champion didn’t look at his very best in the opening match against Roberto Carballes Baena especially in the first set. However, the Serbian legend found his way to win the match in straight sets, but he looked pretty nervous on the way to even throw his racket when he was leading comfortably.
Is Djokovic battling with his elbow?
Nole’s career was halted for some time by a problem to his right elbow. Djokovic admitted that he thought about retiring, but then he found the way to be back at his very best. However, it seems that that specific problem is back.
As reported by Sportklub, after his first-round match, Nole revealed:
“I have a little problem. I wouldn’t talk in which part of my body. It’s not the intimate part; it’s something else, standard. I have a little pain for ten days, it disturbs my rhythm from the baseline a little, and with the service, but it is much better than three or four days ago. I believe everything will be fine for the next match.”
