Norwegian tennis star Casper Ruud has made headlines off the court by gifting his two sisters, Caroline and Charlotte, penthouses in Norway. According to Nettavisen, Ruud purchased the properties in 2021 and 2024, and has now transferred ownership to his sisters free of charge. One penthouse was reportedly bought for 6.45 million Norwegian kroner, while the other cost 5.2 million kroner. The same report noted that Ruud owns a total of five properties in his home country.
Sisters with different paths
Caroline Ruud, 25, is active on social media, where she shares fitness and travel content with her followers. Meanwhile, 19-year-old Charlotte is pursuing her own tennis career. Between 2023 and 2024, she competed in five Futures tournaments, recording a 2-5 match record as she works to establish herself in the sport.
A playful brother
Casper Ruud has often spoken about his sisters with humor. During an interview with Tennis Channel in 2023, he jokingly referred to them as “clout-chasers.” “They’re just in my closet, taking out whatever I wore last year and … they’re really into it. I toy with them a little bit and say, ‘Don’t do it too much!’ I call them clout-chasers because they’re using my status, they’re using my clothes, to get some views themselves, so I have to give them a little bit of s— back.” — Casper Ruud, Tennis Channel interview, 2023
Viral family moment
At the start of the 2024 season, Charlotte and cousin Josephine created a viral clip when they attempted a runway walk. The video spread quickly online, though the pair later explained they were simply having fun and did not realize they were being filmed.
A star beyond tennis
Ruud’s gesture highlights his close family ties and generosity, adding another dimension to his public image as one of Norway’s most successful athletes. While his achievements on the court include three Grand Slam finals and a Masters 1000 title, his off-court actions continue to draw attention and admiration.
