1st set.

Giorgi conquered a good lead at the beginning of the set after breaking Linette in the 1st game (1-0). However, that was not enough for the Italian to win the set since Magda succeeded in breaking back in the 2nd (1-1) and in the 4th (3-1) game. Giorgi kept her cool to break the Pole in the 5th (2-3) and in the 11th (6-5) game before conquering the set (7-5).

2nd set.

Linette had a head start at the beginning of the set to break Giorgi in the 2nd game (2-0) before consolidating her break and lead 3-0. Nevertheless, the set was not over yet and there was more work to do for the Pole to win the set since Camila managed to break back in the 7th (3-4) game. The Pole maintained her cool to break the Italian in the 12th (7-5) game.

3rd set.

Giorgi had a pretty good kick start of the set after breaking Linette in the 1st game (1-0). Anyhow, Linette was not done to come back to break the Italian in the 8th (4-4) gamein the 10th game before winning the set (6-4) after breaking his opponent in the last game.

Camila was completely wiped out in the last 4 games of the set (from 2-4 to 6-4).

At the end of the match, the Pole scored 110 points vs. Giorgi’s 104 points.

Magda won this match even if she was far from perfect in converting her break points since she converted only 46% (6/13). On the other side, Camila was struggling in converting her break points as she converted only 33% of her break points (5/15). That was one of the key issues for her loss.
