Djokovic: "Why I chose Agassi"

There has been a rumor around that Novak Djokovic would have hired Andre Agassi to help him to get back to his levels after the Serbian fired his entire coaching team. After playing the final in Rome, Nole confirmed that he will partner with the American that has never coached after retiring from tennis in 2006.

Why I hired Agassi. DJOKOVIC

Apparently, Nole doesn’t know Andre very well, but he feels that they are “already close.” Djokovic commented

“I don’t know Andre that well because it’s only a couple weeks that we are in communication, let’s say. But I already feel like we are very kind of close to each other and creating this nice vibe.

Obviously, Andre is someone that I have tremendous respect for as a person and as a player. He has been through everything that I’m going through.

On the court, he understands the game amazingly well. I am enjoying every conversation that I have with him. But also, on the other hand, he’s someone that nurtures the family values, philanthropy work. He’s a very humble man, is very educated — he’s a person that can contribute to my life on and off the court a lot. I’m very excited to see what is ahead of us.”

According to the world no.2, Agassi will join him for the French Open and only for some part of the competition.

Let’s see what is going to happen. Still, it sounds a bit weird, but also his partnership with Becker has been heavily criticized at the beginning, and that was tremendously successful.

YES, THE GUY COULD PLAY SOME TENNIS…
