Xiyu Wang dispatches Yanina Wickmayer 6-4 7-5 in the qualifications in New York on Thursday.

There was not much difference between them in this set with the exception of 1 break that the Chinese conquered in the 10^th game (6-4).

Wickmayer overpowered the opposition at the beginning of the set after breaking Wang in the 1^st game (1-0).
