Bad news from the Japanese no.2 Yoshihito Nishioka. Yoshihito had a fantastic run in both Acapulco and Indian Wells after reaching the later stages of the events after coming from the qualifications. Unfortunately, the Japanese had to retire in Miami after he was leading 4-2 over an in-form Jack Sock after he has beaten the American already in Acapulco.
The Statement
The Japanese announces the imminent operation on Twitter saying
Dear Fans,
“I am sorry to report that the injury I sustained in Miami has been confirmed as a tear of the Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) in my left knee. I am obviously disappointed with this news but will do everything I can to come back even stronger. I have surgery scheduled for April 4th in Tokyo and will start my rehab as soon as possible. Thanks for your continued support!!!”
Kyrgios’ support
Nick Kyrgios was quick in giving his support to the Japanese posting
“Bro, I’m so sorry to hear about this. Stay strong, you’ll be back better than ever before you know It. I wish you a speedy recovery mate.”
Good luck!
