Kyrgios beats Zverer in highly entertaining match

Nick Kyrgios beats Alexander Zverev again i n Miami after a couple of weeks he defeated him in Indian Wells.

The Australian looked to be in full control of the match: after winning the opener, he had four match points in the breaker of the second sets, but Sascha managed to save them all to bring the fight to the decider. Even if Nick lost the second set after hitting a useless tweener on the set point, he managed to keep his cool and overcome the disappointment of not being able to wrap up the match earlier. The Australian had a shaky start of all his service games (but one) in the third set, but he somewhat kept his focus and never concede his serve. Kyrgios conquered the decisive break in the 6th game before winning 6-4 6-7 (9) 6-3.

We are going to play more. KYRGIOS

After the match, Nick commented

“We’re going to play a lot more times, and he’s only going to get better. He’s 19 years old, so I’ve got a couple of years on him as well. I’ve got to get better as well. He’s going to continually make me better.”

The semi-final against Federer

Nick will play Roger in the semi-final. The head to head is 1-0 for the Australian, but Roger is the clear favorite to reach the final.

Game on.
