Nick Kyrgios and Stefanos Tsitsipas seem to be almost inseparable nowadays either when playing on the same side of the court in doubles or as “enemies” in singles.
Stefanos and Nick partnered in doubles in Washington before teaming up again in Cincinnati curiously against the same pair (Farah and Cabal). In Washington, Stefanos and Nick also clashed against each other and it was Australian to win their match after saving a match point.
Kyrgios and Tsitsipas at the Laver Cup
The Laver Cup organization confirmed the participation of both Nick Kyrgios and Stefanos Tsitsipas that will most probably lock horns during the event. Nick loves being part of team competitions, and he played in the first 2 editions of the Laver Cup. On the other side, this will be the first time for Tsitsipas to join the event.
John McEnroe will coach Kyrgios as the captain of Team World, and his confirmed teammates are Kevin Anderson, Milos Raonic, John Isner, and Shapovalov. Bjorn Borg will be the captain of Team Europe. Tsitsipas’ teammates are Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Dominic Thiem, and Fabio Fognini. The Italian is having some issues with his ankle, so it is still to see if he is going to play the Laver Cup.
The event will be played in Geneva (20-22 September).
