Rafa won’t play Raonic but Mayer in his opener.
Strange enough Mayer is one of the very few players that have a positive record with Rafa.
The two played only once. That was in Shanghai last year in the third round when Mayer won 7-6 (5) 6-3. Nadal will be as careful as ever to not repeat the debacle with the German.
