WHY playing the Davis Cup is very important for me. KYRGIOS

Nick Kyrgios didn’t have the best “relationship” with the Australian Davis Cup team. Nick has managed to skip its tie a couple of times drawing the ire of Bernard Tomic.

Fortunately, Nick is trying to really find his way back, and he thinks that staying with “his mates” has a healthy impact on him.

Nick is currently in Melbourne where he will play the tie against the Czech Republic represented by Vesely and Stepanek. After his meltdown at the recent Australian Open where he lost a terrible match against Seppi after leading 2-0, he has trained in Miami.

From Kyrgios

During a recent interview, Nick commented

“I think playing David Cup is going to improve my general well-being.

This week it’s good chemistry. It’s a good environment and makes me happy being with these guys and getting out on the practice court and training because usually when I’m by myself, I struggle to find the motivation.

These weeks are pretty crucial for someone around my time of my career.”
