Roger Federer has been sorely missed for the last few months, and the entire tennis world is looking forward to seeing his comeback. Roger will play the Hopman Cup in Perth, and he attracted 5,000 people only during his first training.
I have asked to allow the crowd to come. FEDERER
Roger revealed that he was the one to ask the organization to open the doors during his practice. The Swiss legend commented
“Usually when you train, they shut down center court, which I think is sometimes a pity. I spoke to the tournament and to Paul (Kilderry, the tournament director) to ask if it was possible to open it up the fans because I heard that my three sessions had sold out.
Everybody gets a chance to see me play, maybe more kids and more juniors. And if nobody turns up, then that’s OK too.”
Roger will start his Hopman Cup campaign on Monday against Dan Evans. Who is going to miss it?
