Rafael Nadal has played his first competitive match after his recent stop, but that was in doubles. The Mallorcan sensation has teamed up with his dear friend Marc Lopez to reach the final of the Spanish Championships that are played at his Academy in Manacor.

During a recent interview, the King of Clay conceded that he is still chasing a full recovery to comment
“I am practicing for three hours and a half daily, I’m feeling well but I’m not ready to play singles yet. I’m happy that Spanish Championships are being played in my academy. It’s funny to play with Marc.
Talking about his gold medal in Rio, Rafa commented: “In tennis, Masters 1000s, and Grand Slams are more important, but what the Olympics make you live is a unique experience that is the most beautiful memory in my life.”
Rafa is currently training with Joao Sousa.
