Andy Murray confirms his new world no.1 status with another title after beating Isner in the Paris final. Andy had to work hard against the American to save all break points (6) and break John in the first and the third set. The win came at the very end of the encounter (10th game) after Isner failed a tricky volley at the net. The final score was 6-3 6-7 (4) 6-4.

Thanks to my family and my team. MURRAY

After the match, Andy acknowledged the support of his family and team to comment

“To my team and my family, this has been an incredible journey to get to the top of the rankings. I could not have done it without you. They make a lot of sacrifices to allow me to compete and travel the world. I will work as hard as I can to continue getting better.”

This is Murray’s 8th title of the season, the 43rd of his incredible career (14th ATP1000).

Well done!
