Andy Murray has no problems against Lucas Pouille in Paris. The Brit didn’t give much away to the Frenchman in the previous two matches, and he was as ruthless in the 3rd round in Bercy.
After a fantastic start (3-0), Murray stumbled only in the 7th game of the opening set when he conceded his serve at 15. (4-3). Eventually, that was the last game won by the Frenchman since Andy won the following 8. The match ended after 72 minutes, and the result was a grim 6-3 6-0 for Murray.
Returning was key. MURRAY
Andy was particularly happy with a particular part of his game
“I thought I returned well today. I had chances in almost all of his service games during the match,” commented Murray. “Obviously, that’s good when the surface is a bit quicker. I was getting a good hit on them and rushing him immediately.”
Next vs. Berdych
Murray will play the quarters against Berdych. The head to head is 9-6 for the Brit that has won the last five matches after conceding just 1 set. Andy is the hot favorite to reach the semifinal.
