I couldn’t care less to qualify for the World Tour Finals. KYRGIOS

After a fantastic week in Beijing, Nick Kyrgios went back to misery the week after in Shanghai.

After beating Querrey 6-4 6-4 in the opener, the Australian stated that he was bored during that match. Things got even worse in the 2nd round when he was thoroughly outplayed and humiliated by the world no.110 Misha Zverev that conceded just four games to the Australian (6-3 6-1).

Besides tanking during that match (Kyrgios’ style), the youngster didn’t stop embarrassing himself during the post-match press conference.

Kyrgios against the fans…

Nick was annoyed for being (rightly) booed on court by the fans to comment

“I feel like if they knew what they were talking about they’d be on the tennis court and being successful. I can’t really understand it at all. They don’t know what I’m going through. If you don’t like it, I didn’t ask you to come watch. Just leave. If you’re so good at giving advice and so good at tennis, why aren’t you as good as me? Why aren’t you on the Tour?”

… about qualifying for the World Tour Final

A good run in Shanghai would have helped Nick to qualify for the World Tour Finals. Playing the season’s finale is a huge aspiration for most players (also and especially the big names), but once again the Australian disrespected the sport saying that he “couldn’t care less.”

Nick gained many friends after last week in Beijing; he might have lost them soon after this performance in Shanghai.
