Alexander Zverev had a rather lousy experience this year at the US Open. In fact, the upcoming German lost in the second round against the world no. 64 Daniel Evans 6-4 6-4 5-7 6-2… and he didn’t like that.
In the second set, Sasha wasn’t able to contain his rage to destroy a tennis racket. Zverev also became a bit obsessed with the chair umpire as he was to continuously ask for over-rules. The German wasn’t there at all.

I didn’t expect to win. EVANS
After the match, the Brit commented “I didn’t think I should win today, to be honest. Obviously, he is a better player than me at the minute. He was favored to win that match. It was a bit of an upset.”
Evans will face Stan Wawrinka in the third round. They have never played each other so far.
