Nadal to play all 3 competitions in Rio

Rafael Nadal is eager to be fully committed for the Olympics in Rio, but his wrist injury seemed to have prevented him from playing all three competitions (singles, doubles, and mixed).

WHY Nadal should play all three competitions

There is some confusion about Rafa’s fitness, but yesterday Conchita Martinez gave some good news “Rafa will play all three events if wrist goes on evolving as well as it has so far. Rafa’s short of matches, but he’ll try. Rafa is the best option we have.”

Yesterday, Rafa trained both in the morning and in the afternoon.

Rafa’s coach also gave a feedback full of hopes “His wrist is so much better. We tried to practice normally. We played with a good level, a good intensity. After Roland Garros, we were waiting for five weeks and then we started to play a little bit, to work with the wrist.”

If fit, Nadal will team up with Marc Lopez in doubles and with Garbine Muguruza in the mixed doubles.

We might be lucky and see him playing full steam.
