In a heartwarming announcement that has delighted tennis fans worldwide, Katie Boulter and Alex De Minaur have revealed their engagement! The tennis power couple shared the news on Instagram, posting a joint selfie with Boulter proudly showing off her stunning engagement ring.
The British No. 1 and the Australian star have been dating for almost five years, and their relationship has been a source of inspiration for many. They have played mixed doubles together at Wimbledon and have supported each other through the highs and lows of their careers.
Boulter teased the engagement last week with a post of her sitting in front of the sea in Alicante as the sun set, captioning it “Today was a good day”. It seems that day was even better than she anticipated!
Their colleagues and rivals have flooded the comments with well-wishes. Thanasi Kokkinakis joked, “About damn time,” while Paula Badosa and Eva Lys congratulated the happy couple. Boulter’s Billie Jean King Cup captain Anne Keothavong wrote, “Whoop! Whoop!!”
Despite their joyous news, Boulter and De Minaur won’t have much time to celebrate as they are set to face off against each other at the United Cup later this month. Great Britain and Australia have been drawn in the same group, meaning the lovebirds will have to cheer against each other when they face off in a tie on December 31.
The couple has already flown to Australia to prepare for the 2025 season, and while they won’t be playing mixed doubles against each other, they might still end up facing off in singles or doubles matches.
This engagement marks a new chapter in their lives, and fans are eagerly awaiting more updates on their journey together. Congratulations to Katie Boulter and Alex De Minaur on their engagement!
