Netflix to make a documentary series on Carlos Alcaraz after his incredible rise in tennis

A new documentary series officially unveiled by Netflix will follow the remarkable 2024 season of Carlos Alcaraz, the youngest number-one player in tennis history.

Netflix has formally revealed a new documentary series that will follow Carlos Alcaraz, the youngest number-one player in tennis history, as he has an incredible 2024 season. Morena Films is producing the series, which will follow the Spanish tennis player during his historic year while documenting important competitions, triumphs, and behind-the-scenes activities.

The series, which was produced by Juan Gordon and directed by Jorge Laplace with executive producer Alex Martinez Roig, would begin with a thorough examination of Alcaraz’s ascent.

Jorge Laplace shared the major update on Instagram, saying: “Also on the way from Netflix is Alcaraz, a Spanish documentary series produced by Morena Films (La Liga: All Access) following Spanish tennis star Carlos Alcaraz, the youngest No. 1 player in the sport’s history, during the 2024 season. The series is directed by Jorge Laplace and produced by Juan Gordon, with Alex Martinez Roig serving as executive producer.”

In July, Alcaraz added another Wimbledon title to his collection, making history once more. In addition to winning Wimbledon and the French Open in the same year, he achieved the “Channel Slam” by defeating Novak Djokovic in straight sets. He achieved yet another accomplishment when he defeated Jannik Sinner in a fierce final at the China Open. Alcaraz was followed to every tournament by Netflix cameras.
