As fans chanted in Nadal’s honour during the post-match ceremony, the evening grew more touching for him. Just after the showing of a moving video tribute recognizing his legendary career, Nadal became even more emotional.
The 38-year-old had a touching moment with his family a few days after his final game. His wife, Maria Francisca Perello, and their infant son were with him as he left his hotel. Raising the two-year-old into the air, Nadal planted a kiss on him.
