Roger Federer is having a great run in Halle. The Swiss Maestro reached the semifinal after defeating David Goffin in straight sets (but that wasn’t entirely easy). After winning the first set 6-1, Roger had to dig deep in the second set to win the breaker at 10 after saving 5 set points. Federer won the match after converting his 5th match point.

Best match so far
Roger was extremely happy with his performance to comment “I thought it was my best match thus far,. It is a good win for me and I’m clearly very happy to be in the semis.”
The semi vs. Zverev
Roger will play Sasha Zverev for a place in the final. The head to head is 1-0 for Roger that has defeated the German in May in Rome 6-3 7-5. Zverev reached the semifinal in Halle without dropping a single set. The German defeated Baghdatis in the quarters 7-6 (9) 6-3.
Why Zverev will be dangerous
During his post-match interview, Roger explains why Zverev will be a very tricky player to beat in the future “He’s got a big serve, he’s got a nice backhand, he’s improving his forehand and he’s moving forward. He’s going to be a tough player in the future, no doubt about it.”
